Chorro de Quevedo

About
During the founding of Bogotá by Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada in 1538, the Chorro de Quevedo was chosen as the starting point for the urban layout of the city. This historical event marked the beginning of the construction of the colonial city and established Chorro de Quevedo as a fundamental place in the history of Bogotá.
In more contemporary times, Chorro de Quevedo became a cultural and bohemian center of the city. During the 20th century, it was a meeting point for artists, poets and musicians, who contributed to forging Bogotá's cultural identity. This cultural and artistic legacy lives on in the place, which continues to be a space for artistic and cultural expression in the city.
