San Jacinto Minor Basilica
About
Its origins date back to the 16th century when Dominican friars established it in the Chapels of Siecha. In 1778, it was designated as a parish for the white community by inspector general Moreno y Escandón. In 2024, the Vatican recognized it as a Minor Basilica.
*The Basilica will be a special meeting point during the Jubilee Holy Year 2025, a unique opportunity to strengthen faith and receive plenary indulgence. The faithful can experience God's mercy and renew their hope by making pilgrimage here.
