Coffee Experience Zones in Bogotá
About
If you are a coffee lover, our city offers the perfect chance to delight your palate with the most exquisite cups. Thanks to ‘Conexión Bogotá: Experiencias de Café’ (Bogotá Connection: Coffee Experiences), a joint initiative by the District Tourism Institute (IDT), the Coffee Cultural Fund (FCC), the Bogotá Secretariat of Economic Development, and the Departmental Committee of Coffee Growers of Cundinamarca, you can enjoy specialty coffees. In various parts of the city, the drink is prepared using methods that range from the most traditional to the most sophisticated, all using beans from the country’s top coffee growers. You’ll learn about Colombia’s most iconic crop from expert producers, tasters, and baristas.
How to get there?
You can reach Teusaquillo by public transport, taxi (we recommend using authorized apps to request one), or private vehicle. TransMilenio is a convenient option. Whether you are coming from the north or the south, take any line along Avenida Caracas that stops at Teusaquillo Station on Calle 32 (such as A15 or B12, or any service that makes all stops). From there, get off and walk west until you find the cafés mentioned above. You can also get there using Bogotá’s Urban Transport System (SITP) on routes such as 142, 192, 544A, 593, and 669.
To visit the cafés in Chapinero, return to Avenida Caracas and take routes A61, A124, C15, or D8, which stop at Chapinero Station. Get off there and walk west.
To reach Usaquén, located in northern Bogotá, and visit its specialty coffee shops, you can take SITP routes Z4B, T25, B904, B918, B919, B309, B419, or C84, take a taxi, or drive your own vehicle.
To access TransMilenio and SITP services, you must have a Tu Llave card, a card that you can purchase at TransMilenio stations and other authorized points.
