From an economic point of view, the International Center is an important financial district of Bogota and one of the most notable in Colombia. This makes it a nerve center for economic and business activity in the city and the country.

Culturally, the International Center also plays a significant role. It is home to several emblematic places, such as the Jorge Eliécer Gaitán Theater, which is one of the city's main cultural venues and has witnessed important artistic and cultural events over the years.
