XX International Congress on Minority Languages

The International Conference on Minority Languages (ICML XX – 2025) will be a historic event, as it will be held outside Europe for the first time. Traditionally focused on European minority languages, this edition will broaden its scope to include a wide range of linguistic diversity, including sign language. The conference provides a space for the exchange of research, practices, and experiences related to languages that often receive less attention in European contexts.

How to get there?

• By private vehicle: There are four access routes: Avenida Circunvalar from the north, Avenida Circunvalar from the south, Avenida El Dorado and Calle 12, turn east until you reach the main entrance to the University, on Carrera 1ª Este.
• By TransMilenio: Take the TransMilenio line heading toward the Eje Ambiental or Carrera 7 trunk routes. If you choose the Eje Ambiental, the closest stations are Las Aguas or Universidades, which are connected by an underground tunnel and served by lines J, F, or K. From either station, you can take a taxi to Universidad Externado de Colombia — the ride takes about 10 minutes — or walk to the main entrance, which will take approximately 15 minutes. 
• By SITP: You can take any of the following SITP routes: C80 Boitá – Las Aguas, 7 Palmitas – El Dorado, C125 Villa Alsacia – El Consuelo, C12A San Blas – Parque Nacional, T43 La Castaña – Perseverancia, T16 El Refugio – La Perseverancia, T23 Centro – Fontanar del Río, 172 Paloquemao – Porvenir, 496 Germania – Bosa Charles De Gaulle, 97 Muzú – Galerías, T31 Gran Granada – Germania, 544A Bosa Islandia – Germania, 385 Germania – Cortijo, and 652 Germania – El Uval. These routes will take you close to the area surrounding the university campus.
