Mogambo: The botanical garden in the Viotá mountains

Kilómetro 17 vía Viotá Tibacuy Vereda Liberia
A magical experience, a botanical garden, a combination of colors, flavors, sensations of stories, learning, and memory.
On the Mogambo Environmental Trail, you will find 1,800 plant species from different regions and climatic zones of Colombia organized into 16 categories: Dye plants, medicinal plants, recreational plants, timber trees, food-wrapping plants, insecticidal plants, nut-bearing plants, ornamentals, soap-yielding plants, wax-yielding plants, traditional essences, construction materials, wild fruit trees, handicraft plants, and protein banks.
You will begin by learning about the medicinal plants that our ancestors used with such good results, while also learning a brief history of our territory. You will be surrounded by wild fruit trees and natural dyes, allowing you to obtain natural dyes. At the waterhole or jagüey, you will learn about the cycle of this vital liquid.
You will be guided by engineer Enrique Acero, a scientist with extensive experience in our country's natural sciences, and you will enjoy the delights of Mogambo as a gastronomic offering.
