Hike through the Candelaria desert, a wonderful view and professional historical explanation, with a swim in the XIÉ blue well

Throughout the tour, we will appreciate the cultural landscape of the valley, old haciendas, ranches, houses, and peasant plots, their history and problems, making out the town of Villa De Leyva and the Iguaque mountain range. We will see the different crops and the work of the peasants, the wonderful desert wells, the rock formations, and other vestiges of tiny marine animals from 130 million years ago, all fossilized and scattered on the reddish surface.

This hike will charge us with energy and vitality. We will breathe pure air that descends through the mountains. We will cross small native forests, activating our whole body and opening our minds to the past, present, and future in the middle of these millenary mountains and their unique colors. We can swim in one of the desert wells. This route includes swimming and using the canoe in the only blue well in Sáchica: Ecoparque XIÉ.
