The recognition granted last January at the International Tourism Fair 2026 (FITUR) in Madrid, Spain, by the State Merchant Society for the Management of Innovation and Tourism Technologies (SEGITTUR) highlights the country’s capital as a destination that integrates innovation, technology, and sustainability to continuously improve the visitor experience and improve the quality of life of its residents.

Smart Tourism Destination

ANATO 2060, the most important professional networking event in the tourism sector in Latin America, taking place from February 25 to 27, will provide the stage for Bogotá to show the world why it is a smart tourism destination—one that understands innovation and sustainability are key to offering memorable experiences. From the historic heart of La Candelaria to its modern creative districts, the city integrates technology, connectivity, and digital services that support every step of the traveler’s journey: real-time information, efficient mobility, curated cultural offerings, and world-class airport infrastructure such as El Dorado International Airport, one of Latin America’s leading hubs

In Bogotá, it is happening: Digital transformation is not an abstract concept, but a concrete tool to make every visit more comfortable, safe, and personalized. Digital platforms such as VisitBogotá, its mobile app, and the AI chatbot “Candelaria,” part of the Colombian capital’s official tourism ecosystem, provide detailed information on points of interest, maps, event calendars, gastronomy, nature experiences, and interactive routes—making it easier for visitors and residents to explore and enjoy the city.

But Bogotá’s intelligence goes beyond technology; it lies in its ability to listen, innovate, and project itself globally with a sustainable vision. This is reflected in its vibrant cultural agenda, including major festivals such as Estéreo Picnic Festival, Cordillera Festival, and Rock al Parque; green spaces and event venues like Simón Bolívar Metropolitan Park; and constantly evolving mobility network. Bogotá blends tradition and modernity to create authentic and responsible experiences

Bogotá inspires because it is committed to knowledge, creativity, and inclusion as drivers of tourism development, establishing itself as a city that not only welcomes visitors but also connects them with the future.

At ANATO, Experiences, Districts and Interactivity

Bogotá’s stand will be located in Pavilion 3, second floor, at Corferias. For the first time, it will also feature a dedicated gastronomic bar designed to showcase the city’s richness through its coffee culture, traditional cuisine, and contemporary proposals.

It will be a lively space where the 20 localities will showcase their wealth through interactive experiences. Attendees will engage with artificial intelligence tools promoting Engativá and the cultural offerings of locations such as Bosa, Kennedy, and Rafael Uribe, among others, as well as innovation labs under the “Bacatá” concept. The pavilion will become an immersive journey through three stations that combine storytelling, games, and technology to strengthen emotional connection with the city.
