Bogotá, like the world's major cities, is ready to celebrate diversity during Pride Month, the annual commemoration of the LGBTI community. Many activities will take place throughout June, and you can check them out at Visit Bogotá.
The most anticipated events during Pride Month include the Bogotá Pride Fest from June 22 to 23, 2025; the iconic Theatron Pride Weekend, from June 26 to 29; and the Oh My Drag Pride Festival, on June 29. But the celebration goes beyond that. The city offers a series of activities during June and the first week of July, including workshops, conferences, performances, film series, talks, marches, and business events.
Marches, Art, and Culture
The first pride march will take place in the south of Bogotá on June 22, followed by the District's Big March on June 29 and the Trans March on June 5. All of them generate great interest within the community and promise to be full of art, music, color, and attractive parades.
From June 4 to 27, in the so-called Diverse Season, the Jorge Eliécer Gaitán Theater presents the plays El fracaso es mi estilo by House of Tupamaras, Lo más bello, Radamel, La Morena del Chicamocha, and El Grito de la mujer—Cabra. These performances will take over the Gaitán Hall to promote inclusion and freedom through art.
Meanwhile, the Bogotá Cinematheque will present its traditional Pink Cycle, from June 18 to 26, days to live and share from respect and plurality. In addition to films focused on the community, it will include interdisciplinary performances through the celebration of diversity and dialogue around sexual and gender dissidence.
The city's scene continues between June 14 and 28 at the public libraries of Bosa and Virgilio Barco. They will open their doors for the Escritorxs LGBTIQ+ sessions, the Biblovacaciones: Orgullo LGBTIQ+, the Rumbas y lecturas salseras sobre la diversidad, and the Estilo Vivo. All experiences will combine readings and music to explore authenticity and performative art through movement and personal connection.
The LGBTI Houses and the Itinerant Library of the Bogotá Library Network will hold film screenings on June 13 and 20 and July 5 as part of the Franja Local - Cuerpos que aman y luchan (Local Showcase – Bodies That Love and Resist), an immersive look at the bonds of affection, solidarity, and joy across different LGBTI experiences.
Finally, the FestiPride se toma el Museo (FestiPride takes over the Museum) will be held on June 8 at the Museum of Bogotá - Casa Sámano, with talks, workshops, and cultural spaces. Likewise, the Self-Built City Museum, in Ciudad Bolivar, will present ¡Las voces diversas del sur de la ciudad! (The diverse voices of the south of the city!)—an initiative that seeks to create inclusive spaces for participation and recognition of the cultural heritage and memories of the local LGBTI communities.
Business with Pride
The prolific day of Pride and Diversity Month in Bogotá also includes scenarios and activities aimed at promoting business initiatives within the sector. One of the highlights is the weTrade, lthe largest diverse business fair in Latin America and a hub for business inclusion and innovation, taking place on June 19 and 20. And if that's not enough, on June 27 will be the Festival por la Igualdad, organized by the Gilberto Alzate Avendaño Foundation, with artistic, sports, and academic activities.
