From August 31 to September 22, Bogotá will come alive with vibrant energy and the strong spirit of women's soccer. While you eagerly await the thrilling opening whistle of each match, our city offers a wide variety of unmissable plans and experiences for you to enjoy.

The El Campín Stadium will host the world teams competing for the title of world champions.

If you travel to Bogotá or are in the city, do not miss the opportunity to visit one of its most representative places: Monserrate Hill or Guadalupe Hill. Both locations offer breathtaking views of the city and are perfect places to connect with nature, breathe fresh air, learn about our traditions, and contemplate the vastness of Bogotá from the heights.

You can also take a break a few kilometers from the urban area by going on ecological and sporting hikes on trails such as San Francisco or Santa Ana La Aguadora. There, you can discover the biodiversity of our region and explore the rivers and water reservoirs that surround our city.

Another unmissable is our historic heart, starting with Bolívar Square, a place full of history and culture and surrounded by iconic buildings such as the Primatial Cathedral and the National Capitol. From there, you can walk through the La Candelaria neighborhood—with its narrow streets and heritage houses—until you reach the bohemian Chorro de Quevedo, one of the favorite places for travelers who visit us.

If you are a fan of museums, you're in luck! There are over 60 temples of culture, art, and history. You can explore our pre-Columbian heritage at places like the Gold Museum or enjoy the works of Colombian artist Fernando Botero at the Botero Museum, which also houses pieces by artists such as Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet, and Salvador Dalí. Other options include the Santa Clara Cloister, famous for its colonial architecture and sacred art, which will allow you to travel back in time; the Casa de la Moneda, with a numismatic collection of coins and bills that will make you travel through Colombia's history; and the Miguel Urrutia Art Museum offering a unique perspective of our country's art.

If you're looking to savor authentic traditional cuisine, we invite you to visit one of our 19 district marketplaces. From the traditional La Concordia Marketplace to La Perseverancia Marketplace, each one offers you a world of flavors, aromas, and colors that showcase the gastronomic diversity of our country. The Paloquemao Marketplace is well-known for its vast flower market.

Events to enjoy

But that's not all, to celebrate the city's 486th anniversary, a series of cultural activities are being held. On August 31, lovers of automotive history will be able to enjoy the "Parade of classic and antique cars." The parade allows you to travel back in time while contemplating cars from different eras, from the 30s to the 70s. It will start from Salitre Mágico Park and end at the Paseo San Rafael Shopping Center.

But if you prefer music, on the same day, the National Orchestra of Spain will perform at the Julio Mario Santo Domingo Theater. At the same time, at the Santa Maria Cultural Square, you will experience the Pacific festival with "Petronio al Parque," an event that celebrates Afro-Colombian traditions through music, dance, and gastronomy.

Another option is "Villa Arruga" at the Teatro Casa E Borrero, a play that mixes comedy and improvisation and will run until September 4.

On September 7, the Sacred Music Festival will take place in multiple locations in the city, fostering unity, respect for the diversity of beliefs, and a culture of peace through music. From September 9 to 13, the Bogotá Music Market (BOmm) will be a platform for the promotion and circulation of music, connecting musicians, producers, and entrepreneurs in the sector.

The "Popular al Parque" festival will be held on September 14 and 15, spotlighting the greatest exponents of this musical genre, both local and international. On September 18 and 19, violinist André Rieu, together with his Johann Strauss Orchestra, will offer two concerts at the Movistar Arena. And for techno fans, 'Exhale' will be held on September 21: an electronic party led by Belgian DJ Amelie Lens.
