Bogotá has become, in recent years, a diverse and inclusive city. And all this service offer - which includes bars, restaurants, hotels and other establishments - has helped to make the Colombian capital a global destination specialized in providing first-level services to that community.
In fact, in 2024 the Airbnb platform reported that the Colombian capital entered the top of destinations with the largest number of nights reserved by guests looking to celebrate LGBTQ + pride.
This is a selection of 'Visit Bogotá' with several places where inclusion and respect for diversity are priorities, regarding the activities of the 'pride'.
LGBTI Museum
The LGBTI Stonewall Museum, located in the heart of the residential area of Teusaquillo, is an initiative that seeks to claim, through art and culture, the struggle and rights of the LGBTI community. It is named after the New York bar where the riots of June 28, 1969 were generated and which gave rise to the commemoration of the month of the pride - or gay pride - that takes place throughout the world. A collection of portraits of famous characters such as Leonardo da Vinci, Socrates or Plato, who are also reminded of their diverse sexuality, is seen in one of its 14 rooms. There is a series of iron sculptures by the well-known Caleño artist John Fitzgerald Serna, among them one representing a homosexual young man from Sinchelejo (Sucre) whom a neighbor, who was recriminating for his condition, mutilated his left arm with a machete.

The businessman Rubén Darío Gómez, manager of the museum, prepared to recreate the violence and discrimination that this community has received throughout history. But it is also an invitation to celebrate sexual diversity through a collection of books, magazines and films and of clay sculptures, including several about homosexuality in pre-Columbian cultures. It contains valuable works of art from Asia, Europe and Latin America.

San Felipe District
A neighborhood full of workshops, in the town of Barrios Unidas, has for several years become an epicenter of art, gastronomy and bohemia in Bogotá: the Artistical and Creative District San Felipe. First the art galleries were born, which became a showcase for local artists and gave a touch of sophistication to the sector. In addition to these spaces for art, it is an ecosystem of restaurants of Colombian fusion and international cuisine, bakeries, pizzeries and author's ice cream shops within a neighborhood that continues to preserve its essence of life in community. The 'Open San Felipe' is famous: an outdoor event that includes the sale of organic food, crafts and clothes by emerging designers. And although everyone is welcome to this capital district, the LGBTI community finds a diverse, safe and inclusive space there. Its establishments operate under policies of respect for diversity and several of its workers belong to that population.
Address: between 72 and 74 streets, and 9 and 11 races, Barrios Unidas.

Chiquita Bar
This iconic bar was born in 2017 in Medellín as a platform for the Drag Queens to present first-level shows. In 2003, he opened his doors in Bogotá in a house where a theatre was operating in the Chapinero district. So the remodeling took advantage of the original design and today it retains the essence of a theatre: the platform where several of the most recognized artists at the drag scene in Colombia, such as Lesley Wolf - also international guests - are presented, and it becomes an animated dance floor. Although the space was also designed as a cabaret in the style of the Moulin Rouge in Paris. On the side of the platform are raised two dancers' mannequins with fish heads, which are part of the rushing kitsch decoration of the place.
Address: Carrera 12a # 79-25, Chapinero.
