September Sounds, Creates, and Comes Alive in Bogotá: An Itinerary for Exploring the City That Has It All

September is a great month to find out. Bogotá welcomes artists from all over the world, turns its parks into stages, brings entire neighborhoods to life through art and gastronomy, and hosts major fairs, festivals, and cultural events.

This month's calendar features everything from Jazz al Parque and Cordillera Festival to Feria EVA, ARTBO, concerts by Jamiroquai, Robbie Williams, Tini, Carlos Vives, and Jorge Drexler, as well as film showcases and cultural circuits across different areas of the city. 

But traveling to Bogotá for an event comes with a special advantage: the experience never ends when the stage lights go out.

Bogotá, A City That Always Has Something in Store

You might arrive for a concert and end up exploring La Candelaria. Travel for a festival and set aside an extra day to dive into the local food scene. Come for the jazz and discover museums, galleries, markets, design, shopping, and nightlife.

September 4 – 11 | Music, Film, and Wellness

The opening days of the month immediately showcase the rich diversity of Bogotá’s cultural calendar.

Wellness Week runs through September 6, featuring arts, culture, recreation, and sports across various venues throughout the city. The capital also hosts the Bogotá International Sacred Music Festival, which kicks off on September 4, bridging music, heritage, and architecture across historic churches, theaters, and landmark spaces.

The live music lineup continues at the Movistar Arena with Helloween on September 5 and Jorge Drexler on September 6.

From September 8 to 11, the Bogotá Music Market – BOmm 2026 arrives, while the Cinemateca de Bogotá hosts the Latin American Film Cycle through September 13. On September 9, Al Di Meola performs, and on September 10, Bogotá joins the international WWE circuit. 

September 10–20 | Design, Gastronomy, and Entrepreneurship at Parque de la 93

Over two weekends—September 10–13 and September 17–20—Parque de la 93 transforms with EVA Love Edition 2026, a fair that will bring together more than 520 independent businesses, 100 gastronomic proposals, fashion, design, home & decor, music, and entertainment across a circuit of over 15,000 m².

A great excuse to explore one of Bogotá's most vibrant areas and continue the plan among restaurants, cafés, shopping, and nightlife.

September 12 and 13 | A weekend to travel through music

If there is one weekend that proves how many experiences can coexist in Bogotá, this is it.

The Simón Bolívar Metropolitan Park hosts Cordillera Festival 2026, one of the city's major musical gatherings dedicated especially to the sounds of Latin America.

At the same time, Parque El Country transforms with Jazz al Parque, one of Bogotá's emblematic Festival al Parque events, a free encounter with jazz, fusions, and national and international artists.

On the 12th, Sara Landry will also perform at MedPlus Coliseum, and Jhon Alex Castaño at Movistar Arena. And on the 13th, La Macarena changes its rhythm with Macarenazo, a walking tour of the neighborhood through food, art, music, and friends. 

In a single weekend, you can listen to jazz in a park, experience a Latin American festival, discover a neighborhood through its gastronomy, and finish the night with another concert.

This is also Bogotá.

September 16 to 22 | A city of grand stages

The second half of the month keeps the rhythm going.

Santiago Cruz Santiago Cruz will hold four performances in Bogotá between September 16 and 22, at venues including Teatro Panorama, Teatro Jorge Eliécer Gaitán, and Teatro Colón.

Adding to the lineup are Jorge Celedón on the 17th, Tini on the 18th, Jamiroquai on the 19th, and Robbie Williams on September 20.

From pop to funk, from vallenato to singer-songwriter songs, Bogotá proves once again that its music scene can be, on its own, a reason to pack your bags. 

In the last week of September, Bogotá turns into a major art route

After the music comes another great reason to travel: art.

The week of September 23 to 27 will be marked by ARTBO – International Art Fair of Bogotá, which brings together galleries, artists, collectors, curators, and institutions.

And art does not stay in just one venue.

San Felipe, Chapinero, Centro Internacional, La Macarena, and other areas of the city activate galleries, museums, studios, and independent spaces. From September 25 to 27, Open San Felipe + ARTBO Weekend turns the San Felipe Creative District into another essential stop on the itinerary. 

It is an opportunity to experience Bogotá in a different way: walking its neighborhoods and stepping into the spaces where its creative scene moves.

Downtown Bogotá also enters the scene

From September 25 to 27, Bogotá Vuelve al Centro IN proposes another journey through the city.

Art, music, architecture, gastronomy, heritage, and public space connect in the Centro Internacional, around emblematic places such as the National Museum, MAMBO, and the Planetarium. 

That same weekend, Carlos Vives & La Provincia arrive at the Movistar Arena on September 25 and 26.

You can go from the museum to the restaurant, from art to music, and from a walk through downtown to a major concert without leaving Bogotá.

There is also a Bogotá of fairs, business, and major gatherings

The capital’s calendar isn’t just about culture and entertainment.

From September 2 to 19 at Corferias, the Home Fair brings together design, decoration, gastronomy, and entrepreneurship. And starting September 28, the International Industrial Fair of Bogotá – FIB 2026 connects companies, buyers, innovation, and technology.

Adding to these are specialized and professional gatherings that showcase another dimension of Bogotá as a destination for meetings and business.
