It is the venue for your next event. Bogotá ranks among the world’s top 40 cities for the meetings industry
The Colombian capital has just claimed 15 spots in the prestigious International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) ranking, placing 36th among more than 1,600 cities evaluated worldwide. This achievement confirms the city’s growing global recognition as a hub of events, innovations, and strategic connections.
The result presented during IMEX Frankfurt 2026—one of the most important gatherings in the global meeting industry—places Bogotá among the select group of 40 most competitive cities of the world for hosting international congresses and conventions. The city also established itself as the fourth most competitive city in Latin America within this ranking, a global benchmark for international associations and organizations seeking host cities for their events.

Bogotá, one of the top international destinations
The report also shows Bogotá’s regional leadership. The city recorded a 47% growth in international meetings compared to the 2024 report, nearly double the Latin American average. This performance not only reaffirms Bogotá as Colombia's leading destination in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industry but also establishes it as a key driver of the sector's recovery and expansion across the continent.
Part of this success is due to the strengthening of its infrastructure for world-class events, featuring iconic venues such as Ágora Bogotá and Corferias, along with a robust selection of hotels, gastronomic and cultural offerings, and air connectivity that make the capital an ideal destination for corporate travelers and international visitors.
Bogotá has also strengthened its position as a regional hub for strategic sectors such as healthcare, technology, sustainability, creative industries, and innovation. This is complemented by a vibrant cultural agenda, a diverse range of touristic offerings, and a city that blends business, culture, gastronomy, and unique urban experiences, making it a destination that transcends events and leaves a lasting impression on those who visit.

With this new international recognition, Bogotá reaffirms its leading role on the global map of business tourism and continues to position itself as a modern, competitive city ready to welcome the world.
