Joropo al Parque 2026

On July 11 and 12, 2026, Bolívar Square will host a new edition of Joropo al Parque. This festival celebrates one of the most representative musical and dance expressions of the Colombian and Venezuelan plains (Llanos). Over two days, Bogotá will bring together outstanding artists, traditional dancers, and ensembles to showcase a lineup highlighting the contrapunteo (lyrical duels), oral poetry, zapateo, and the unmistakable sounds of the harp, cuatro, and maracas. This fifth edition will place a special emphasis on the oral tradition of the Llanos as a living heritage of the region.

The festival will offer free concerts, dance showcases, educational spaces, and cultural activities that allow residents and tourists to connect with the artistic wealth of the Llanos. Its programming seeks to strengthen the dialogue between traditions and new generations of performers, promoting the recognition of one of the country's most vital cultural manifestations in the historic heart of Bogotá.
