This emblematic route, which links Colombia's most important city with its region, consists of a one-day tour that connects Bogotá with three emblematic destinations: the Guatavita Lagoon, the Archaeological Museum of Zipaquirá and Zipaquirá Salt Mine. The experience ends in the gastronomic area of Usaquén.
The tour begins on the TransMilenio portal of 170 Street, with ground transportation, specialized guides and logistical accompaniment. It is materialized through local tourist operators that offer private transport, bilingual guides, tickets to attractions and travel insurance.
In addition to its landscape and architectural appeal, the route connects with the Muisca cosmovue, which gave the Guatavita Lagoon a sacred character as a place of offerings and ceremonies in honor of the sun, the moon and the gods of the water. This ancient symbolism, linked to the legend of El Dorado, intertwined with the colonial and republican legacy present in Zipaquirá and the imposing Mina de Sal, where the extraction and use of mineral have been essential to local communities since pre-Hispanic times.
The final destination is Usaquén, today a renowned gastronomic area that reflects the way in which Bogotá integrates tradition and innovation, consolidating the route not only as a tourist experience, but as a journey that honors the indigenous roots, historical memory and cultural identity of the country's capital.
