Casa Mayor Mirador Foundation: Art, community, and hope in Ciudad Bolívar

In the Ciudad Bolívar locality, southern Bogotá, the Casa Mayor Mirador Foundation offers an opportunity to discover the value of community initiatives that enrich the city's cultural life. This non-profit organization hosts activities related to plastic and visual arts, fields that open up possibilities for creative expression and citizen engagement.

Its presence invites us to view Ciudad Bolívar from a different perspective: that of a territory where art, creativity, and collective work become tools to strengthen social ties and create new opportunities. Visiting and learning about local initiatives like this allows us to connect with the residents' experiences and discover new ways of living and sharing Bogotá's culture.

During your visit to Casa Mayor Mirador Foundation, your tour of Ciudad Bolívar can be complemented by the Museum of the Self-built City, which tells the stories of struggle and collective building of its inhabitants; Illimaní Viewpoint Park, ideal for enjoying panoramic views of Bogotá and recreational spaces; and the experience of riding the TransMiCable, which lets you appreciate the urban landscape of the capital's southern area from above. It is also worth visiting El Ensueño Theater, an important venue for enjoying the performing arts and discovering the cultural talent of southern Bogotá, and the El Rincón del Paraíso Coffee Museum, a community space that brings together vintage objects and popular memories, perfect for discovering the identity and stories that make this locality a cultural and community tourism destination.
