Sanctuary of Our Lady of Health

This parish, which houses the miraculous image of the Virgin of Health, was founded in 1997 thanks to a donation from the Corona Foundation. The parish sector of Cristo Resucitado was established in 2001 under the direction of Father Guillermo Vargas. The temple was completed in 2008 and consecrated in 2009.

The Sanctuary has a rich history dating back to 1739 when José Pérez brought the image of Our Lady of Sorrows, known for her miracles, from Spain. After being donated to the Church of Bojacá, the image was recognized as the district's patron saint and was enthroned as Our Lady of Health of Bojacá. Today, the image is located in the left nave of the church.

The Sanctuary is renowned for the many conversions it has inspired, and for the protection it offers to the faithful, who come to receive blessings for their health, homes, and vehicles. Known as "Little Rome," the Sanctuary reflects a deep devotion and the Virgin's call to Christian life.
