The Church of Our Lady of Sorrows is an important landmark for religious tourism in Guatavita. Located in the town's main square, this church represents the community's deep Marian devotion and is an integral part of the cultural landscape of the new Guatavita, which emerged after the relocation of the old town due to the construction of the Tominé Reservoir.

It is a space of faith, tradition, and spiritual encounter for residents, pilgrims, and visitors.
