Bogotá sounds like rage, fog and memory. We invite you to a free workshop to discover how rock became a sound of our streets

The Bogotá Archive, in alliance with the Colombian and Underground Rock Museum, invites you to a sound trip from 1957 to the future. They are 5 sessions that are indispensable not only to listen, but to understand the living force of rock in Bogotá.

What does the history of our city sound like? To anger, fog and a lot of memory!

Know the route and get ready for what comes:

    • Session 1: From the 57th to the underground seed (1957-1969).(Already done on Wednesday, May 6!) We relive how rock came on the radio and the movies, scaring the moms with the first electric guitars in the grade dances.

    • Session 2: Friday, May 15 - 1: 30 p.m. to 4: 30 p.m. The '70s: when the rock went to hell and to the basement. Go into the necessary ground, the hipism, the censorship and the strength of women breaking doors behind the battery.

    • Session 3: Saturday, 23 May - 9: 00 a.m. - 12: 30 p.m.. The eighties: punk, blood, metal and first dead. Bogotá exploits and violence gets into the letters; punk becomes a response and heavy metal finds its trench.

    • Session 4: Saturday, 30 May - 9: 00 a.m. - 12: 30 p.m.. The 90s: the explosion, Rock to the Park and business. Rock is no longer clandestine. We'll talk about Rock's birth to the Park, the bands that filled stadiums, the first video clips and the hard professionalization.

    • Session 5: Friday, June 5 - 1: 30 p.m. to 4: 30 p.m. 21st century and future: gentification, disconfiguration, streaming and resistance.Did the street die? We will analyze the closure of emblematic spaces, the rock in the TikTok era and the urgency of taking care of our memory.
