Bogotá's birthday and the Summer Festival are a perfect combination of celebration and fun, transforming the city into a vibrant hub of joy and entertainment. Starting on August 6th, the city's founding date, nine days are dedicated to celebrating wholesome outdoor fun. 

The largest free festival in Latin America has been held annually since 1997 and includes cultural, sporting, and recreational activities. Throughout Bogotá's network of parks, activities are organized for the entire community, including locals, visitors, and tourists.

The Simón Bolívar Metropolitan Park, the largest and most important in the city with its almost 400 hectares, is the main venue of the festival.

📍 How to get there

You can get there by TransMilenio, along Avenida El Dorado, and get off at the Salitre El Greco station. From there you can easily access Calle 53, one of the park entrances, but you'll need to walk at least 10 minutes along Avenida 68.
