Barraca Teatro

The history of the Colombian pink theatre cannot be told without mentioning the Corporación Barraca. This company created in 1992, which has taken its assembly to the United States, Europe and Latin America, presents at its three-story house in Chapinero, works that ironize the straight regulatory system and are immersed in the intimate worlds of different people.

Community issues LGTBIQ + (lesbians, gays, transgender, bisexual, intersex, queer and other gender identities and sexual orientation) were leading the ways of creation of Barraca Teatro. Works like Antigona or A Kiss from Dick or Al natural began to explore the nude and, together with other assemblies, the issues of sexual diversity.

The collective has bet on the support of a headquarters, which a few years ago was in the Carrera 17 # 50 - 60 and that now their projects are maintained even with their school of performance and dance.

If you want to discover a true jewel of the Togotan gay culture, you must go to the Barraca Theatre, an iconic place of the International Festival of Rosa Theatre, which is usually held between July and August.
