The Bogotá Glass Museum (Mevibo) is located in the San Cristóbal district and offers visitors a unique immersion into the ancient tradition of glassmaking, a material that has played a key role in the history of humankind.

Since its opening in 2014 in the white-painted 'Casa La Eneida' (House of the Eneida), it has preserved the legacy of this material and highlighted the community and artisans who keep this tradition alive.

Mevibo is an institution that collects documents of great creative value for the study of the origins of glass, maintaining a logical structure in relation to time and events that mark a parallel evolution of this material in Colombia and the world. It is also an instrument of social action through the promotion of master artisans who preserve the tradition of glassblowing as Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH), due to the antiquity of the technique and its importance to the minor arts.

The museum has four thematic rooms: Fire, Water, Aeneid, and Phoenician Workshop. Each room offers a unique perspective on the history of glass, exploring its many uses and forms of expression, as well as the essential tools used in its manufacture. Visitors can also participate in hands-on activities led by master glassmakers, such as making necklaces and creating stained glass windows.
