Las Moyas Trail
📍 It is located in the town of Chapinero, in the Rosales neighborhood (Transversal 2 East #78-93)
Discover the Las Moyas Trail, an ideal destination to connect with nature in the eastern hills of Bogotá. This 3.5-kilometer (one way) hike will take you through a spectacular landscape, where biodiversity and fresh air will allow you to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city, while supporting a socially focused project.
This trail is a private initiative designed to offer a unique hiking experience while promoting the conservation and restoration of the forest reserve. Along the way, you can enjoy breathtaking views, observe native flora and fauna, and learn about the importance of these ecosystems in preserving the environment.
The trail takes you through Andean forest, high Andean forest, and páramo ecosystems. This hike is perfect for those seeking a safe and well-organized environment. Comfortable clothing, appropriate footwear, and sun protection are recommended, as well as following the instructions to preserve the local flora and fauna.
On this trail, the noise fades, the air changes, and the only sounds you hear are your footsteps on the earth and the birdsong. Las Moyas not only offers a respite from urban life but also invites you to be part of an environmental awareness movement that seeks to protect and preserve Bogotá's natural treasures.
Access to the trail is controlled and requires prior reservation. You can check availability, schedules, and recommendations at https://cerrosdebogota.org/index.php/quiero-caminar/
