Park Way

Park Way is a wire of some 800 meters sown of urapans from Argentina. As one of the first boulevard-type avenues was built in 1950 in the La Soledad district in the town of Teusaquillo. At its beginning, the initiative called "Bogotá Future," was a project that essentially ordered new traces and the extensions of the existing road mesh to define the avenues that had separate roads by a central arborized area.

This "road of the roundabout" located in the Race 24 between 36 and 45 streets, It has pedestrian trails, green areas and cychlorroutes, which has made it a recreational and cultural place, ideal to enjoy the shade of various trees, among which are the high oaks, eucalypts and urapans.

Park Way is an inspiring place. Its facades of houses and buildings keep intact the memories of old and its English style reminiscent of the cloth and long dresses of the 1940s. It has been the location of several films and soap opera, and around it cultural activity maintains presence in sites like the National Theatrethe place that gave rise to the Ibero-American Festival of Theatre in Bogotá, over there in the late 1980s, and the Teatro Casa E Borrero, before Arlequin Theatre, and today recovered and conditioned as a center of performing arts. At 37th Street is the monument to the admiral José Prudencio Padillawhose name highlights the naval battles in the national independence.

It is an environment described as unique, bohemian and authentic, to travel even through its kilometer of cichloruta on the sides, where the gastronomy has a special presence with a tour of flavors that go from the local to the international through kitchens from Greece, Pakistan, India, Italy, Switzerland or Peru. The place also enjoys an important commercial offer with banks, supermarkets, boutiques, bakeries and cafes, the latter which will certainly make you happy.
