The Colpatria Tower is an iconic skyscraper located in Bogotá. Built in 1978, it was once the tallest building in Colombia and one of the tallest in Latin America. Standing at 196 meters tall with 50 floors, the tower is an architectural icon and a landmark in the city.

Constructed with 17,000 cubic meters of concrete, using entirely Colombian materials and labor, its architecture was designed by the firm Obregón, Valenzuela & Cía. Ltda., and its construction was carried out by the company Pizano Pradilla Caro y Restrepo Ltda.

The tower has 15 elevators and transports an average of 5,700 people daily, including residents and visitors.

Inside, it houses offices, shops, and a tourist observation deck on the 49th floor, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of Bogotá. Traditional and important events for Bogotá are held around the tower. From the helipad, a fireworks display kicks off Christmas on December 7th with the traditional Night of the Little Candles. It has also made history worldwide as the first building in Latin America to host an international climbing competition inside its stairwell.

Since 2010, the Tower Run has been part of the Towerrunning World Cup, a world-class circuit that includes over 160 races in some of the tallest buildings on the planet, such as the Empire State Building in New York, the Petronas Towers in Malaysia, the Taipei 101 towers in China, and the Sky Run in Berlin, among other equally demanding events. This circuit concludes the year with the Colpatria Tower Run.

For 36 years, the Colpatria Tower was the tallest building in Colombia, and as an important part of Bogotá's urban transformation, it remains a symbol of the city's progress and modernity.
