The Sports Palace, located within the grounds of Simón Bolívar Metropolitan Park, is a large indoor arena that hosts major sporting tournaments, cultural, business, and musical events. 

The venue, which dates back to 1993, boasts modern infrastructure, with seating for 3,800 in the stands and an average of 1,000 to 1,500 spectators in the orchestra section.

The arena features dressing rooms, VIP boxes, a meeting room, seating areas, a food court, restrooms, telephones, and emergency stations. It also has parking for 800 vehicles.

Today, this complex is primarily used for concerts due to its versatility. International artists who have performed there include Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Tears for Fears, Soda Stereo, Alan Parsons Project, and 30 Seconds to Mars. In 2016 it hosted the Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards, a show that honors the most important figures of the year in television, film, music and sports according to the vote of viewers from all over the world of Nickelodeon networks.

📍 How to get there

By car, you can access the venue via Avenida NQS (Carrera 30), Calle 63, Avenida 68, or Calle 53, depending on your starting point. There are public and private parking options nearby, although it's recommended to arrive early during concerts or large events.

If you prefer public transportation, you can use TransMilenio and get off at the Salitre – El Greco or Simón Bolívar stations, from where it's a 10- to 15-minute walk to the venue. SITP bus routes also run between this area and different parts of Bogotá.
