Breathe the Water: A Break to Reconnect with Nature

On October 7, the El Salitre Wetland will open its trails to a unique experience: Respira el Agua (Breathe the water),  a free event that invites you to pause, breathe, and consciously connect with nature. From 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., participants will enjoy a meditation session and a guided tour of this ecosystem, featuring breathing exercises, slow walking, observation, and mindfulness.

More than just a tour, the experience aims to explore water from a new perspective: as an essential element of ecosystems and urban life. The session will also offer space to reflect on wetland conservation and responsible water use, weaving together well-being, nature, and citizen culture. The meeting point will be at Avenida Carrera 60 #63-65, inside the El Salitre Recreation and Sports Park, with a capacity of approximately 20 people.

The activity is open to all ages; children must be accompanied by an adult.

Schedule:
• 9:00 – 9:30 a. m. – Participant check-in and welcome.
• 9:30 – 10:00 a. m. – Guided meditation session.
• 10:00 a. m. – 12:30 p. m. – Conscious tour of the El Salitre Wetland, featuring slow walking exercises, breathing, observation, and mindfulness.
• 12:30 – 1:00 p. m. – Closing of the experience.

Recommendations:
It is recommended to wear comfortable clothing and shoes, bring water, and use sunscreen according to weather conditions..

The experience will be led by experts in meditation and the natural sciences, combining well-being and mindful connection tools with an introduction to the wetland ecosystem and the importance of water to the city.
