Ríos, cámaras y acción: laboratorio de animación

From July 8 to 10, 2026, the Santa Fe Gallery will host 'Ríos, cámaras y acción' (Rivers, Cameras, and Action), an animation workshop for children, youth, and families to explore audiovisual creation inspired by the exhibition Katabasis. Over three days, participants will work with stop-motion animation techniques, while reflecting on Bogotá’s hidden rivers, urban memory, mythology, and the relationship between the city and nature. The activity will have limited capacity to ensure a participatory experience.

The workshop will combine hands-on exercises in illustration, photography, and animation with discussions about the city’s landscape and the stories that lie beneath the city’s surface. Through collaborative work, participants will create audiovisual pieces inspired by Bogotá’s invisible landscapes, fostering creativity and critical thinking through art.

This initiative expands the Galería Santa Fe’s educational programming and offers an opportunity to engage with contemporary art through play, experimentation, and collective creation. It’s an ideal activity for families, students, and animation enthusiasts seeking cultural experiences during the mid-year vacation in Bogotá.
