Tour: Onda Vicachá. Radio tour with Radio en Acción
Santa Fe Gallery Categoría del eventoOn July 11, 2026, the Santa Fe Gallery invites the public to participate in “Onda Vicachá. Radio Tour with Radio en Acción,” a sound tour that offers a different perspective on downtown Bogotá. As part of the programming for the Katabasis exhibition, this activity will take participants to sites linked to the history of the San Francisco River, also known as the Vicachá, one of the main bodies of water upon which the city was built. The experience will begin at 10:30 a.m., and advance registration is required due to limited space.
Guided by the Radio en Acción collective, participants will enjoy an immersive experience that combines an urban walk, short-range radio broadcasts, and reflection on the transformation of Bogotá’s landscape. Through stories, sounds, and conversations, the tour will help participants understand how the canalization and covering of the river altered the relationship between the city and its territory, revealing memories that remain hidden beneath the streets of the historic center.
This activity enriches the Santa Fe Gallery’s cultural program by offering an experience that integrates heritage, contemporary art, soundscapes, and urban memory. It is an opportunity for residents and visitors to rediscover Bogotá through new narratives, understanding of the history of its rivers, and the value of public space as spaces for learning and collective creation.
