La Salle Museum
📍 Carrera 2 #10-50
Founded in 1904, the La Salle Museum was Colombia's first natural history museum. Since its inception, it has been committed to education based on scientific knowledge, culture, and the exploration of the natural environment. Its collection comprises more than 109,000 invaluable specimens in areas such as zoology, botany, geology, paleontology, and archaeology, making it a national leader in the research and conservation of natural and cultural heritage.
The permanent and temporary exhibitions invite visitors to embark on a journey through time to learn about the evolution of the country's biodiversity. In addition, the museum offers a robust educational program that includes workshops, traveling exhibitions, and guided tours that combine science, art, and pedagogy.
You can easily get there on foot, by public transport (TransMilenio: Las Aguas or Museo del Oro stations), or by taxi. Upon arrival, you must register at the La Salle University entrance to enter the museum..
