In southern Bogotá, specifically in the Ciudad Bolívar district, artistic expression, creativity, and memory find a home at the Teatro El Ensueño (The Dream Theater). Inaugurated in April 2021, it has become a symbol of the district, alongside the Casa de la Cultura (House of Culture), the TransMiCable (cable car system), and the Mirador Illimani (Illimani Lookout). Furthermore, it has established connections with cultural spaces in neighboring districts such as Tunjuelito, Bosa, and Usme, with the aim of promoting artistic and cultural exchange among the communities.

It offers a permanent program of workshops, film clubs, dance, and music, fostering citizen participation and strengthening the social fabric. With an area of ​​over 3,800 square meters, it boasts a seating capacity of 800 people, a 14-meter main stage, a 24-meter-high rigging system, ten dressing rooms, four rehearsal rooms, and a platform with an orchestra lifting system, equipped with state-of-the-art technology to deliver top-quality performances.

The three-story structure also offers parking, bicycle parking, and a cafeteria. The theater is part of the El Ensueño school complex, and the two buildings are connected by a corridor.

It is one of the city's three main theaters, along with the Colón and the Jorge Eliécer Gaitán. There you can enjoy large-scale, world-class performances such as opera, ballet, and dance, as well as the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra.
