Bogotá walks with pride: get ready for the LGBTI Pride parades
The Marcha del Sur will take place on Sunday, June 14, and Yo Marcho Trans will be held on Saturday, July 4.
On the occasion of the activities that Bogotá will celebrate during mid-2026 for the commemoration of LGBTI Pride, and within the framework of the Festival for Equality (Festival por la Igualdad), two citizen-led marches have been organized and agreed upon in support of the right to social protest.

Just like across the rest of the planet, these massive celebrations carry a long and significant history tied to the first march of 1970 in New York City. One year after the "Stonewall Uprising," also known as the Stonewall Riots, the event captured public attention and, over time, transformed into an annual, global demonstration for the civil rights of the LGBTI community.
In 2026, Bogotá’s Pride marches will resonate as important and relevant as they did over 40 years ago, with community mobilizations moving through different areas of the city. The marches will call for the guarantee of their rights in a civic mobilization supported by various district and local entities, all working to highlight that Bogotá is a city where difference and diversity walk with pride and deep respect.
Marches: dates, schedules, and routes
* Marcha LGBTIQ+ del Sur. On June 14, the Marcha del Sur (March of the South) will take place. It has been organized for 18 years by community networks from the southern localities of the city. This year, under the slogan Diversxs en identidad, unidxs en la lucha (Diverse in identity, united in the struggle), it will begin at 9:00 AM, departing from the old Bavaria factory (Av. 72 #09-01) in the locality of Kennedy.
Fontibón es Cultura Diversa
2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. El Fuego Park – Fontibón
Cultural and artistic performances by LGBTI social sectors will be held as a prelude to the arrival of the LGBTI March of the South.
The invitation is to bring your colors, your strength, and your passion for change!
* ¡Yo Marcho Trans! In its 11th edition, the trans collective's march will take place on Saturday, July 4, starting at 9:00 AM, departing from Parque de los Girasoles. This day of mobilization and community gathering in the Engativá locality will feature a community trans sancocho, artistic performances, local business showcases, and a march toward Parque Florida Blanca. The event will be held under the slogan Somos todes el polvo de las mismas estrellas (We are all the dust of the same stars).

For this reason and many others, these marches seek to reclaim the rights of the LGBTI community, which have historically been a victim of exclusion, violence, and discrimination. Likewise, the goal is to reaffirm the institutional commitment to ensuring that in Bogotá, you can be yourself!
