Come and discover a different side of the Colombian capital: Bogotá invites you to experience an urban retreat with the Calma en la Ciudad Festival
From June 20 to 28, Bogotá transforms into a large stage for well-being with the fourth edition of the Calma en la Ciudad Festival. An initiative that invites residents and visitors to rediscover and enjoy the city’s public venues.
Under the slogan Tu retiro en Bogotá (Your Retreat in Bogotá), the festival will offer more than 400 free activities that connect art, culture, sports, nature, and heritage with holistic personal care, transforming the city into an ideal destination for those seeking physical, mental, and emotional well-being experiences.

Tu retiro en Bogotá
Inspired by the celebration of International Yoga Day, declared by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, the festival will bring activities to parks, libraries, wetlands, nature trails, museums, and cultural venues throughout the city. From yoga and meditation sessions to concerts, exhibitions, nature walks, self-care workshops, and discussions on neuroscience and health, the programming will offer a chance to explore Bogotá from a perspective of calm, connection, and harmony with the environment.
Visitors can enjoy unique experiences at iconic locations such as El Tunal Park, El Country Park, Bosque de San Carlos Park, Santa María del Lago Wetland, Mirador de los Nevados in Suba, the Bogotá Platenarium, the Virgilio Barco Public Library, and Lovers' Park (Parque de los Novios). Through these activities, the city showcases its natural and cultural wealth, offering ideal spaces to unplug from the daily routine and reconnect with well-being in the heart of one of Latin America’s most vibrant capitals.
The agenda also includes eco-walks along trails and environmental corridors in localities such as San Cristóbal, Teusaquillo, Engativá, Barrios Unidos, and Usme, allowing participants to discover urban and natural landscapes that prove why Bogotá is one of the country’s most attractive sustainable tourism destinations. In addition, academic sessions on yoga, meditation, and neuroscience strengthen the city’s commitment to a culture of well-being and community.
The festival’s closing event, at Parque de los Novios, will feature open yoga classes, art therapy workshops, local entrepreneurship fairs, and outdoor concerts, making it an experience that invites visitors to explore Bogotá in a new way.
The event, organized by the Secretariat of Culture, Recreation, and Sports in collaboration with more than 40 public and private entities, offers a packed schedule from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
