Located at the mouth of the Bogotá River, it is a true sanctuary for wildlife, home to approximately 653 species, including 105 vertebrates and 97 birds, some of which are endangered. Access is via Calle 77 between Diagonal 77b and Carrera 127.
The wetland is recognized as an Important Bird Area (IBA) in Colombia and worldwide. Furthermore, its historical significance is reflected in its archaeoastronomical value, as it forms part of an ancient Muisca ceremonial complex.

*By TransMilenio: You must arrive at the Portal de la 80 TransMilenio station. There you must take the feeder bus (1-6)
to the fourth stop, then transfer to the SITP D800, get off at stop 15 (Calle 71 with Carrera 113) and walk along the edge of the wetland to Parque La Rivera.
