The National Police Historical Museum Palace is dedicated to showcasing and promoting appreciation of the history and evolution of the National Police in Colombia. It houses an impressive collection of weapons, uniforms, and iconic vehicles used by the institution throughout its history. In addition, it offers exhibits that bring to life historical events that have left an indelible mark on the country. 

    Regarding the building itself, constructed between 1923 and 1926 by the Colombian architect Alberto Manrique Martín, it is an architectural gem, declared a national historical monument and heritage site in 1984. Its construction was dedicated to the first director of the police, Juan María Marcelino Gilibert.

    • ¿Cómo Llegar?

      It's located on 9th Street, one block west of the Santa Clara Museum. Bolívar Square is a good landmark. You can get there by TransMilenio and get off at the Museo de Oro station. From there, it's a short walk to the corner of 9th Street and 9th Avenue.
